We are satisfied because we have been able to realize recycling inside our facilities by using horse manure to raise pastures on our ranch. (Introduced by Arabian Horse Ranch (Takamuroyama Eco Farm) TAKARAJIMASHA, Inc.)

History of Introduction

Conventionally, at our existing ranch facilities we composted horse manure from dozens of horses, and used it to raise pastures on our ranch.

However, in order to compost horse manure, we had to turn over compost many times, placing a great burden on the ranch staff, so reducing that burden was a major issue for us.

We decided to install composting equipment when building a new horse ranch. We do not have dozens of horses per year on this ranch, so we could not conceive of installing large-scale equipment.

We research various composting equipment, and all the equipment for the livestock industry was large-scale, so the initial burden of capital investment was too heavy.

The reason we chose Miraie

We came to the decision to use EasyJet from Miraie after a long search for the smallest and simplest composting equipment available.

The company was too far away in Shimane Prefecture, so initially we were concerned about maintaining functionality, doing care, and other aspects after introduction.

For this reason, we temporarily introduced EasyJet Jr. in the period before setting up the facility, and composted horse manure with flexible container bags on a trial basis.

Once we started composting as was explained to us, the foul odor from horse manure disappeared, and we even did experiments growing plants with fully matured horse manure compost.

Following these efforts, we decided that this was definitely a viable product, and set up a part of the building equipment that was under construction for composting, and started full scale introduction.

Evaluation after introduction

Our concern about Miraie being so far away in Shimane Prefecture was unfounded. When we introduced the equipment, they responded nimbly, and we managed to start full-scale operation without any concerns.

After introduction as well, it was a very simple machine just as we had hoped for, so we haven’t encountered much trouble, and have managed to continue operation without incident.

It has been almost 3 years since we started operation, and we do recycling by using horse manure compost to grow pastures on our ranch.

It’s amazing that such simple and useful composting equipment doesn’t become more widespread.
