Drastically cut operating costs
At this facility, wood chips were used to do deodorization before,but the electricity bill for deodorization fans was too high (more than ¥20,000,000/year), and it cost millions of yen per year to replace wood chips.
Therefore, the decision was made to switch to a deodorization method using porous glass, in order to drastically reduce operating costs.
After switching to the porous glass deodorization method, they succeeded in reducing their annual costs by approximately ¥18,000,000.

With this equipment, 1.5 times more exhaust gas can be treated than with conventional equipment, and the removal rate improved from 37% before introduction to 96% after introduction. Removal capacity rose to more than 4 times higher than before introduction.
