Reduces foul odors in small-scale garbage recycling (Introduced to: Public Corporation A)
In this case, foul odor caused by incomplete fermentation in garbage composting was improved by changing the aeration method and revising the composting process.

Here we introduce an example of a small-scale garbage recycling setup that we delivered.
Public Corporation A in Hokkaido is a recycling facility that handles final disposal sites, wood chips, and waste plastic disposal.
A few years ago, they introduced a closed tank garbage processing device and started composting, but were worried about foul odors being generated and compost quality degenerating due to incomplete fermentation, so they consulted with us.
After visiting the site, we proposed a recycling system that can be built at low cost.
The photo shows the state of the compost before introduction.
Most of it was discharged from the device not decomposed and made a strong odor.
The most important part of composting garbage is how to raise the pH balance.
Unlike livestock manure, garbage is decomposing when it is collected (through anaerobic fermentation), so the material tends to be acidic. Aerobic fermentation is a reaction on the alkaline side of the pH scale, so it is important to raise pH in the early stages of fermentation.
In the case of Public Corporation A, they have plenty of wood chips that are shredded at the facility, so they decided to mix them with garbage in order to create gaps and use EasyJet Jr. to do high pressure aeration.
This made it so that pH rises at an early stage, and fermentation temperature rises accordingly.
This facility composts and recycles 1 ton of garbage discharged from Ito-Yokado and school lunch centers in the city every week.
After introduction, generation of odor was almost totally suppressed.
In this case, they are using an existing building, so they only introduced EasyJet Jr. and a compressor (costing about ¥400,000).
