Ohmura Shoji is based in Shiki City, Saitama Prefecture. They launched their garbage composting business several years ago. At first, this produced foul odors.

Since they introduced EasyJet Jr. two years ago, they have received no more odor complaints, showing that composting recycling is possible even in residential areas.

The company accepts 10 to 15 tons of garbage a month from school lunch centers and company cafeterias.

They also accept pruned branches, which are made into wood chips and used as auxiliary materials for composting.

First, garbage is delivered in a dedicated box, then shredded, mixed with pruned branch wood chips, and filled in the Arm-Roll box.

EasyJet Jr. is inserted from above to supply oxygen to the materials. Fermentation is completed in 30 days by regularly stirring up the contents with a backhoe.

After that, the contents are transported to the stockyard of a group company and screened as fully aged compost in order to remove any foreign substances. Finally, they are returned to the head office and packed in bags.

In this case,

  • It is possible to suppress the generation of foul odors without a deodorization device.
  • It can be built from a small amount (several tons a week).
  • Equipment can be expanded according to the amount of material processed.
  • Running costs are low.

These features show that it is possible to build a very flexible facility.

With typical composting systems, initial introduction costs are tens of millions of yen. However, with this system, it is possible to earn profits even on a scale of a few hundred kilograms to one ton per day.

For auxiliary materials, it is not always necessary to use pruned wood chips. We propose auxiliary materials that are suitable for each region (materials which can be procured continuously for a low price).
