In the agricultural community wastewater facility improvement project, issues arose with some areas exceeding the planned sludge treatment capacity, leading us to decide to review and reconsider the composting facilities and composting flow.
Background of Equipment Introduction
Former Sada Town has been implementing the Agricultural Community Drainage Facility Improvement Project since 1981 to improve water quality for agricultural drainage and living environments.
In the fiscal year 2001, while all the planned areas were completed, issues such as some areas exceeding the planned sludge processing capacity arose; therefore, from the perspective of resource recycling, we examined the sludge processing methods and composting facilities and decided to introduce new equipment.
Reasons for Choosing MIRAIE
We received proposals for composting facilities from several companies and made our selection based on cost comparisons in terms of construction and maintenance costs, as well as actual performance.
Evaluation After Introduction
Initially, we only composted sludge, but the high moisture content prevented it from becoming a usable product.
However, as a result of the improvement proposal from MIRAIE and the management company to add auxiliary materials, we have successfully commercialized the product and are now selling approximately 3,500 bags (10 kg per bag) annually.
